Pekiti-Tirsia Kali (PTK) is a traditional style of Filipino martial arts. It was founded and developed by the family of our grandmaster, Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje Jr.
Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is a comprehensive self-defense system that teaches ways of dealing with armed and unarmed attacks. One of the guiding principles of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is: If you can defend yourself against armed attacks, you can also defend yourself against unarmed attacks. Pekiti-Tirsia Kali offers holistic solutions for all situations — standing or sitting, armed or unarmed, defending against one or multiple opponents.
It is because of this functionality that Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is often used in security and self-defense training. For example, elite soldiers of the Philippine army, the Philippine Marine Corps Force Recon Battalion, and even members of EKO Cobra— an Austrian tactical unit — are trained in Pekiti-Tirsia Kali.
